Into the garden.

It is lovely to be able to get out in the garden after what always seems like a long winter.  But as things warm up there are more flys to contend with than ever.  Bees are bigger and so are wasps and they are about much earlier than they used to be. Bees were hardly ever seen until mid summer and wasps were never seen until the autumn when fruit began to fall ripe from the trees. The butterfly too is about very early too another one that was only seen in the middle of summer when the heat would bring out a carpet of them beneith the budlia plant, that is a lovely sight.

But if it is not ants nests it is wasps nests bothering us or some such thing. And the answer is in your garden centre and by the time you have bought every known thing, for snails, wasps, ants and the rest you have little left for anything else, might be better to encourage birds into your garden and hedgehogs even the toad will help control things in the natural way, much more healthy too because if you suffer from anything like ashma and hayfever  chemicals can set you of. Trouble is if you have a dog you will have to teach it to leave the hedgehog alone or it could have a prickly experience
