Behond many.
It is not much use any one banging on about god and trying to draw people to do what god requires of them if they do not want to. In Christs day it would have been much easier to collect up people to listen, there was probably little else for them to do and they were probably more desperate to find a reason to live.
Now we have all sorts of tecnology and many things people can do and places to go, a million distractions from god, many people sadly do not need god they have familys, friends,money, and they think they do not need god perhaps i should say.
They are there own god a power unto themselves and do not want to know about spirituality, to them its a weird thing. To know god you must come clean with him no messing about and some people couldnt even be honist to themselves never mind god its asking too much of most people to reach that spiritual level of understanding .
