Storms in Uk.

Few people slept here in the Uk. last night a months rain  fell in one night. Thunder and lightning  raged across my home and the lights went out as we sat in fear of what might come next..  An elderly lady was swamped by a four foot wall of water that swept through her home and watched as her furniture floated about, she moved in with her neighbour until her home is fit to live in again.

Roads turned into rivers and fields into ponds, trees fell blocking main roads. My daughter was out with her husband moving her ponies off the land into stables at 1.30am.this morning water went over her boots and she was soaked waist high. Damage is done to railway lines as gravel shifted away, many homes are damaged. Firefighters received more than 300 emergency calls last night in one area.  And there is more rain to come.

  1. Oh my! Thanks for shaking us out of our naps on our lounge chairs here in sunny California. May your boots stay dry and your loved ones stay safe. Hugs from half way across the world.
