My reason for writing a lot of the time is that i am easily bored. . Before i began blogging i wrote stories and poetry sending some to publishers. Poetry about anything, and stories about anything, including stories for children all of which i tried to make original.
I had about twenty poems published in a year and won a top prize for one of them in 2004, but i rarely enter writing or poetry competitions of any sort. One gets little in payment for a poem from a publisher and there are millions of writers and poets so unless your name is very well known and put about by some influenzial person its not worth the months waiting to see if they want your work or not. And competitions well if you already have a well known name to compete against which you often do have, again its ok if you want to do that but i enjoy blogging more, so as long as i can i will. I think blogging is the best thing the internet gave us all and i think it would be the worse thing that happened for the internet if blogging was stopped for any reason.
