Proper hygiene.
When i did my nurses training many moons ago hygiene was top priority every thing had to be sterilized and hands had to be washed before and after every patiant.
In those days we had a matron who made sure every thing was done properly not a manager who only cared about the books and the rest was took for granted.
Nothing got missed by her who was well informed on all that went on, she herself a nurse made sure she shuck everybodys feathers on a regular bases, both nurses and patiants. Every day checks were made on every thing we did she was also very kind and helpful towards everybody. No way would any superbug day to exist in those days. I do not like the way hospitals are run atall now.
